The Ash trees in Ash Meadow have sadly become infected with Ash Die-back disease and have deteriorated rapidly this summer. This disease causes structural weakness and dropping of branches which could be hazardous to anybody nearby.

As a short-term measure, until the trees are made safe, we are cordoning off the dangerous areas and asking people to stay away from these parts of the meadow. We are working to deal with the problem as quickly as possible and appreciate your support and cooperation in keeping people safely away from the trees until it is safe to use these areas once again. Please do respect all signage and any instructions instructing you not to enter. Many thanks.
