Do you or does someone you know use the Mobile Library Service that visits the parish once every four weeks? A consultation is currently live until Friday 26th May relating to proposed changes by Devon County Council to close mobile libraries and develop alternatives in their stead. This is your chance to share your views, whether or not you are a personal user of the service.
Mobile Library Service: Proposal to close mobile libraries and to develop the alternatives in place for this service
Within the context of the financial challenges that Devon County Council currently faces, there is a proposal to end the current mobile library service delivered by Libraries Unlimited, and instead to seek and develop further alternative arrangements to ensure that people can continue to access and engage with their local library or library service.
Devon County Council would like to hear your views on the proposal by 26 May 2023. To do this, please follow the link below to fill out a short questionnaire.
If you are unable to do this, printed and large print copies will be available in the mobile libraries during this time.
If you have any questions please contact communitiesconsultation@devon.gov.uk or telephone 0345 155 1001.
