Starting in March, Let’s Talk Teenagers is a new online programme of free support sessions for parents and carers, funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Safer Devon Partnership, South Devon and Dartmoor CSP and Teignbridge Council for Voluntary Service.

They’ll be running twilight sessions online from 7.00-8.30pm on Tuesday 8th, 15th and 22nd March, covering topics such as:

  • Drugs and alcohol

  • Sexuality
  • Mental health
  • Social risks
  • Peer pressure

Let's Talk Teenagers support sessions

We really want to empower parents, guardians and grandparents to support their teenager through the challenges they are being faced with every day. We are delivering three 90 minutes twilight Microsoft Teams sessions on consecutive weeks throughout March, which will give parents tips on how to support and talk to their teenager about issues such as healthy relationships, substance misuse, exploitation and safety online. We believe that intervention at the earliest stages by family and carers can be positive for the whole family and prevent things escalating or becoming harmful. Parenting and supporting teenagers is really tough, and we have worked hard to produce sessions that not only raise the awareness of those challenges, but also give positive guidance about how to help.

Visit devon.cc/teenagers to find out more about each session and book your free place via Eventbrite.
