Fundraising thanks

Thursday 29th February saw over 70 local residents pool their collective brain power in aid of the Ashprington & Tuckenhay Defibrilator Fund at a Quiz Night kindly hosted by The Durant Arms. The generosity of all involved meant that a total of £721 was raised towards the ongoing maintenance and future replacement of the two defibrilators in Ashprington and Tuckenhay.
Special thanks go to The Durant Arms for their donation of £120 and to local residents and businesses including Oak Tree Gardens (Ashprington), The Garden Room Mosaic Workshops (Tuckenhay) and The Potting Shed (Totnes) for kind donations of raffle prizes. Much gratitude is due to the Support Group volunteers who helped in myriad ways to make the event happen, Quizmaster Simon Green and Scorer Kevan Throgmorton.

Free public training opportunity

Next in the calendar is an opportunity to learn how to use a defibrilator in the event of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Residents across Ashprington, Tuckenhay and Cornworthy are warmly welcome to join a free public training event with Community Heartbeat Trust from 6-8pm on Tuesday 9th April at Cornworthy Village Hall. Please email the Ashprington and Tuckenhay Defibrilator Support Group for further information.
