1. Chairman’s Annual Report.
As always, a very busy year, with the community and council being involved in many activities.

We have considered and acted upon the following:-
Planning takes a great deal of our time. The Council has considered 27 applications during the last year. With the Parish having so many mature trees lots of TPO applications for tree works have been submitted.

War Memorial – a very good Remembrance Sunday was again held this year, thanks must go to Cllr Stuart Greaves for his organisation, getting the various groups & individuals together to commemorate the day. A donation was again made to the British Legion.

Parking – As always we ask parishioners and visitors to park with consideration, this winter the positioning of cones has helped with the gritter being able to gain access through the Village.

Highways – Pot holes still remain an issue. We continue to ask Parishioners to report these and any other road defects on the DCC website, because of funding shortfalls they do not always get repaired in a timely manner but they must be logged on the system to get any action taken.

Defibrillators – Sophie Paterson continues as Chair for this, fund raising is ongoing as there will be a need eventually to replace the Defibrillators in the future.

Village emergency plan – Cllr K Throgmorton continues to be the lead for this.

The Village Hall committee continues to support events in the village.

Ash Meadow committee, ably led by Ian Bentlett – The composting site remains busy. Funding streams for new play equipment will be explored for the future.

Tractorfest was again held at Ashmeadow, another huge success raising money for various local charities.

In October our Clerk – Mike Read retired, we thank him for his services to the Parish Council. We welcomed Sharon Raggett as our new Clerk.

As always many thanks to all our Cllrs for their services to the Parish, with DCC elections on the 1st May we may see some changes and local government reorganisation within the next few years will see us become part of a Unity Authority, the Districts which will join together have yet to be decided.

2. Any Questions from Public present.

Closed 7.38 to be followed by a Parish Council meeting.
